Sensei Tom Fabiano
Sensei Fabiano's HistorySensei Fabiano began taking interest in Martial Arts his Senior year of High School. He began training Tae Kwon Do in June of 1971 under the instruction of the late Myong Kil Kim. Sensei Fabiano hit his training very hard, generally practicing 5 hours a day, everyday. In 1973, Sensei Fabiano earned his First Black Belt. Sensei Fabiano earned his Second Degree Black Belt in 1975 and his Third Degree in 1978. In between his First and Third Degrees, Sensei Fabiano studied Mu Do Kwan Tang Su Do under the instruction of Mike March, just to gain more knowledge in the Martial Arts, not to earn rank. Sensei Fabiano began teaching Martial Arts in 1977 and opened his own school, Fabiano's Karate, in 1978 on 17th St. and Central Avenue. In 1979, Sensei Fabiano began learning Kobayashi Shorin Ryu under the instruction of Bill Mattix. In 1980, Sensei Fabiano moved his school to 14th St. and Van Raalte Ave. Sensei worked very hard for almost 2 years and earned his First Degree Black Belt under Bill Mattix. In 1982, Sensei Fabiano changed Fabiano's Karate to the style of Kobayashi Shorin Ryu. At this time Sensei Fabiano also studied Kobayashi Shorin-Ryu under Tadashi Yamashita. Sensei Fabiano took another 16 years, eventually earning all of his ranks up to 6th Degree Black Belt. In 1997, Sensei Fabiano began training under John Hutchcroft, at the style of Matsumura Seito Shorin Ryu. Sensei Fabiano tested into this style as a 5th Degree Black Belt (down one degree from his previous style). In 1999, Sensei Fabiano changed Fabiano's Karate to the style of Matsumura Seito Shorin Ryu. IN 2001, Sensei Fabiano achieved the rank of 6th Degree Black Belt in the style of Matsumura Seito Shorin Ryu. Sensei Fabiano's Timeline
